Habitus + Co. is a small, independent design and surveying studio based in the Derby, UK.. Founded by Ian Welby, the practice was built on the belief that good design should be accessible, inclusive, and grounded in everyday life.
We work across residential and community projects, combining design thinking with technical expertise in building surveying. Our services include feasibility studies, planning advice, technical drawings, access audits, and retrofit strategies — supporting clients through every stage of their project.
